White House Denounces 'Democratic Hoax' as Further Epstein Estate Images Disclosed
House Democrats have released a new tranche of what they described as "alarming" images from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been previously circulated—along with another 70 released later on Friday constitute a tiny fraction of the almost 100,000 images released to the House investigative panel, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The disgraced financier died by apparent suicide in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking charges.
High-Profile Individuals in the Photos
Among the notable figures shown in the opening set are public figures such as film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump appears in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
White House Reaction
The White House addressed the release in a official comment, charging Democrats of purposefully "choosing" the photographs for partisan aims and to "try and create a false storyline."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been consistently disproven," a presidential representative stated, maintaining that "this presidency has done more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats ever have by repeatedly calling for disclosure, releasing thousands of pages of documents, and urging further investigations into Epstein's liberal connections."
Congressional Democrat Comment
The photos were disclosed without context, but as stated by a California Democrat and senior member of the investigative panel, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's associations with the rich and powerful.
"It is time to halt this White House concealment and secure justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his well-connected allies," he declared in a statement.
The publication of these images occurs alongside the oversight committee pressing on with its probe into the Epstein matter.
