Car Evading Police Crashes into Tampa Nightspot, Leaving Four Dead and 11 Injured

A high-speed car while evading police slammed into a crowded bar in the early hours on the weekend, killing 4 individuals and wounding eleven in a vintage neighborhood of Tampa, known for its nightlife and visitors.

An air patrol team with the Tampa law enforcement agency observed the vehicle operating dangerously on a freeway at approximately just after midnight after police stated the light-colored car had been seen street racing in a different neighborhood, as per a law enforcement statement.

The state highway patrol intercepted the car and attempted to perform a maneuver that involves striking a rear fender of a fleeing vehicle to cause it to lose control, known as a precision immobilization technique, but it was unsuccessful.

Highway patrol personnel “ended pursuit” as the car raced toward the historic Ybor City district near downtown, local authorities said. Ultimately, the motorist failed to maintain control of the vehicle and hit more than a dozen individuals outside the bar, police confirmed.
